how hard is that to do?? just spread resin on and let it harden, then smooth it out or are you actually laying fibers down too??

Yes all i do is spread resin, and if im filling in holes in the dash or panel i use a fiberglass mat covered in resin and lay it across the hole. Then like u said just let dry then sand then add more where needed to fill in the low spots just keep repeating the process till i've got the desired look i want. I'm thinking about molding in my dual gauge pod for my air ride into the dash were the passenger air bag used to be maybe angled a little towards the driver, what do u think? the air bag has already been removed and a hinged cover put in place to allow access to the playstation 2 and the TV tuner.

Sounds like a good idea to me as long as you can still access the PS & monitor. I like having my air gauges up high so you can monitor them with out having to take your eyes off the road. Had the ones on the Mitsu mounted on the left side windshield pillar, worked awesome there.
I would like to 'glas my nissan dash but just worried about the padded part. i gues make sure you never put pressure on it so it doesn't crack I suppose.
